Coman is a newswire editor at the German Press Agency dpa, where he covers breaking stories and runs the agency's international consumer news wire. As a tech reporter, printed and translated by numerous international newspapers, he's covered issues like Angela Merkel's refusal to join Twitter and how terminally ill people are immortalizing themselves as bots. Before joining dpa's newsroom, he worked for publications such as German financial daily Handelsblatt, local Berlin magazine Exberliner and a tech website covering programming news and the Berlin startup scene, all following a stint writing ad campaign slogans for German cars. He was twice granted academic scholarships from Germany's DAAD programme to carry out cultural studies research in Weimar and Freiburg, where he did his MA. Born in Dublin, he now also calls Berlin home.
