What does it mean to be human in a time of fast-paced technological complexity and change? Has a transformation of the human condition begun? Will we one day leave ethical decision-making to artificial neural networks? What will happen to the ideals of the Enlightenment and our humanist tradition in view of disrupting artificial intelligence innovations and genetic engineering? How much change is bearable for our societies? Are new ideologies and worldviews needed to counterbalance technologically driven upheavals? The speakers will explore concepts for new paradigms and imagine possible futures in a world where humans and machines define the world they co-inhabit.
