Kaan Sahin
Technology and Foreign Policy Expert

Kaan Sahin works for the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) as Research Fellow for Technology and Foreign Policy.

He previously worked with Deloitte as a consultant for Cyber Risk and Public Sector. Prior to that, he was Fellow of the Mercator Fellowship on International Affairs, specializing on strategies to combat hybrid threats. In this capacity, he was based with the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), with the Special Representative of the OSCE for the Southern Caucasus, with Carnegie Europe, and with the Strategic Analysis Capability Section at NATO Headquarters.

He studied political sciences at the University of Duisburg-Essen and international politics and peace research at the University of Tübingen, the University of Connecticut and Koç University in Istanbul.

Kaan Sahin arbeitet als Research Fellow für Technologie und Außenpolitik bei der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik (DGAP).

Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei der DGAP war er Berater bei Deloitte im Bereich Cyber Risk und Public Sector. Zuvor befasste er sich als Fellow des Mercator Kollegs für internationale Aufgaben hauptsächlich mit Strategien zur Bekämpfung von hybriden Bedrohungen. Als Mercator Fellow arbeitete er beim International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), für den Special Representative of the OSCE for the South Caucasus, bei Carnegie Europe und in der Strategic Analysis Capability Section im NATO Hauptquartier.

Er studierte Politikwissenschaft an der Universität Duisburg-Essen sowie Internationale Politik und Friedensforschung an der Universität Tübingen, University of Connecticut und an der Koç University in Istanbul.
